Are You Getting The Most Up To Date Advice?

Our science and discoveries continue to progress and our understanding of the body continues to evolve. This means that unless your advisers (doctors, personal trainers, nutritionists etc.) do not keep up to date with research, they will not be providing you with the best most up to date methods to achieve your results.

It is essential that you are getting the most accurate information if you wish to maximise your results and take advantage of our growing knowledge and improvements.

For example take the hormone Ghrelin which was discovered only recently (around 10 years ago) and was originally identified for its role as a growth hormone. Until very recently  its role in stimulating appetite was uknown. Even Peptide YY (consider this as the opposite to Ghrelin i.e. an appetite suppressant) was only discovered less than 25 years ago.

Both have an effect on hunger and since overeating is a MAJOR cause of obesity, hunger suppressants have been big business. The supplement industry works hard to imitate results that we can obtain naturally. They make huge profits from claimed results that you can get without ever popping a pill.

An example of this would be trying to find a ’substance’ in the form of a pill (not food which is both easy and cheap to obtain) that would limit the release of Ghrelin for example. Then they would sell it as an appetite suppressant. That is how it goes.

Whether the synthetic substance actually works doesn’t matter because no ‘body’ is checking their claims or the safety of the substance to the body. The supplement industry is TOTALLY unregulated. They can say whatever they want and THEY DO.

By the way, if you do want a way to reduce the release of Ghrelin and increase the release of Peptide YY (to suppress appetite) here is one study showing you how it can be done naturally.

I might add that you need to consider ALL aspects of exercise and diet in relation to your genetics, current physical condition and your goals.
