Warning – Weight Loss Scams
Unfortunately, many people are falling for weight-loss scams which rob them not only of their chances of losing excess fat and getting in the best shape of their lives but also their hard earned cash.
I felt so compassionate for those who might be taken in by their cruel tactics. I had to write this post to at least give you a professional heads up so you can at least be informed before parting with your personal and credit card details.
I saw an promotion on the side of my hotmail account showing this woman who apparently lost 2 stone without dieting or exercise. The curiosity of what they could possibly be promoting this time got the better of me, so I clicked the ad.
It took me to an affiliated website that was supposed to be written by “Judy”. She first claims losing 20 lbs in 2 weeks and in another part of the free blog site states losing 30lbs.
Now ignore the great marketing script all claiming to be written by “Judy” and go to the bottom and read the small print and you will find the following in small greyed out writing:
“Judysweightlossblog.com is an affiliated website, marketing the health supplement products “AcaiBerry Exclusive” and “Effective Cleanse”. The site is operated by Mediaverse Solutions Limited, a Cyprus corporation doing business out of the UK. The company can be reached vie email at corp@judysweightlossblog.com. As we do not handle the order fullfilment or customer support, please call …
I think the best part however is that they offer something called “negative option” commonly used on these sites. It reads like this:
“Unless you call to cancel, you’ll continue to get a fresh one-month supply of Life Cleanse every 30 days for the low price of £79.00 (+£3.95 shipping and handling). There are no obligations. VAT included.”
They go on to say …
“YOU UNDERSTAND THAT THIS CONSUMER TRANSACTION INVOLVES A NEGATIVE OPTION AND THAT YOU MAY BE LIABLE FOR PAYMENT OF FUTURE GOODS AND SERVICES, UNDER THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT, IF YOU FAIL TO NOTIFY THE SUPPLIER NOT TO SUPPLY THE GOODS OR SERVICES DESCRIBED.”
Do you notice the price?
83 quid for one month of herbs – f**king crazy!!
They are selling you water loss and getting rid of your so called ‘excess feces’!!!!
I don’t deny their might be some benefit from Acai berries but selling them as a weight loss product at such a horrendous price – that is fraudulent at its best.
The sad part is that there are sites all over the web like this and people are falling for their cleaver marketing ploys and the “pay only $1 now” or “pay only shipping” and so on for a ‘trial’ sample. They get your credit card details and you get a whopping price tag for falling for their tactics.
I am so sorry for anyone who has been had by this. It is not your fault, you are desperate and the side of you that doesn’t really want to do anything to lose your excess fat, gets the better of you.
Please don’t fall for these cruel people who are taking advantage of your naivety. You cannot possibly keep any weight off that you lose in this fashion. You will ALWAYS be back for more – and they are counting on it all the way to the bank!

AND, their are many different versions of this scam from so called ‘weight loss teas’ to pills and herbs and the prices are jacked up so all the affiliates in the chain can take their cuts.
Hopefully you will not be fooled by these ridiculous weight loss scams and lose out time and time again. I guarantee you NOT lose fat, you WILL lose lots of water and waste away essential metabolic muscle tone that will return you back to them time and time again. Don’t let them fool you again.
